In the article "Keeping the Change", the writer talks about how low income people are putting money aside and saving quite a bit thanks to a program called "Earn." For every dollar, up to $2000, earn pays $2. This jump starts people to put money aside. Low income families have said it is very difficult to put aside $20 to $50 a month, but they realize that they need to have something to fall back on when times get tough.
I feel it is a great idea to save. The Earn program seems to be helping out very well, and the tests participants must go through seem to keep people on track. All in all it is teaching people to save and to look towards the future, before it's too late.
